  • We are against HB0081: Constitutional Amendment - Form of County Government - Requirement to Adopt Charter Home Rule

Requiring each county to adopt a charter by December 31, 2030, using a certain procedure; altering the method by which a county shall adopt a charter under certain circumstances; requiring the charter to provide for the election of members of the county council by the voters of councilmanic districts; and limiting the applicability of certain Constitutional provisions governing code home rule counties. Hearing 2/06 at 1:30 p.m

  • We support HB0671 cross-filed in Senate SB0355: Criminal Law - Display of Obscene Material to Minors - Prohibition

Altering the definition of "item" relating to the prohibition against displaying or distributing obscene material to minors to include a drawing or illustration; and prohibiting certain public schools from displaying certain obscene material under certain circumstances. Hearing 2/02 at 1:30 p.m.
